How It Works
The Smart Lock & Camera Kit gives sellers control over property access during showings. Buyers and their agents receive temporary access codes that expire automatically. A built-in camera records arrivals and departures for security and showing confirmation.
What It Does
Secure Time-Based Access
Generate unique access codes that work only on specific dates and times. Codes expire automatically, so no keys are ever lost or copied.
App-Controlled Entry
Buyers or agents enter their code on the smart lock keypad. The door unlocks briefly, then auto-locks. No physical keys. No risk of unauthorized access.
Camera Monitoring
A high-definition camera records arrivals and departures. You can watch live or review footage anytime. Know exactly when and who is at your property.
Access Logs
Every code entry is logged: who used it, when, and how long they stayed. Complete transparency for security and confirmation that showings happened as scheduled.
Integrated with Showings
When you schedule a showing on the platform, access codes are automatically generated and sent to the buyer's agent. No separate systems to manage.

Legal & Compliance
Platform Role
The platform facilitates the generation and distribution of access codes and provides a dashboard to view footage and access logs. However, the physical installation, maintenance, and operation of the lock and camera hardware are the seller's responsibility.
Seller Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the lock, ensuring the camera is functioning, and ensuring compliance with local recording and privacy laws in your jurisdiction. The seller must not record conversations without consent where required by law.
User Access
Only authorized users (the seller, designated agents, and pre-approved buyers with scheduled showings) should receive access codes. The seller is responsible for controlling who receives codes and revoking access when showings are cancelled or completed.
Camera Disclosure
Sellers must comply with all local laws regarding video recording and disclosure to visitors. In many jurisdictions, property owners may record visitors in common areas, but specific requirements vary. Consult local law before recording.
No Liability for Hardware
The platform is not responsible for hardware malfunction, battery failure, lock jamming, camera disconnection, or any physical issues with the lock or camera. If hardware fails during a showing, contact the hardware manufacturer or your IT support immediately.
Technical Limitations
Access codes may fail due to low battery, network outage, or software glitches. The platform recommends having a backup entry method (physical key with a trusted party) in case of technical failure. The platform is not liable for delays or denied access due to technical issues.
Audit Records
Access logs and camera footage are maintained for the duration of the transaction. After transaction closing or termination, records may be retained per local law, but the platform does not guarantee indefinite retention. Download and archive important footage yourself.
Privacy of Footage
Camera footage is private information. Only authorized parties (seller, their agent, and scheduled visitors) should have access. Unauthorized sharing of footage may violate privacy laws. The platform is not responsible for unauthorized distribution of footage.
Limitation of Liability
The platform is not liable for: (1) hardware failure or malfunction; (2) unauthorized access despite code expiration; (3) recorded footage loss or corruption; (4) disputes about showing attendance; (5) recording consent violations; (6) privacy breaches; or (7) any consequential damages.
Security Best Practices
Review access logs regularly—check for unexpected visits or entries outside scheduled times
Revoke codes immediately if a showing is cancelled—do not wait for them to expire
Share codes only through the platform, never via text, email, or phone
Keep valuables secure or in a safe during showings—treat visitors as you would open houses
Archive important camera footage to your own cloud storage—do not rely solely on platform storage
Test the lock and camera weekly to ensure they're functioning properly
Important: Smart lock and camera systems are tools to manage property access and provide security verification. They do not guarantee security or prevent theft. Always ensure your property is protected with insurance and take reasonable precautions to secure valuables.
