Smart Lock Setup Guide

Step-by-step tutorial for sellers to set up keyless property access

T.O.D.D. Audio Walkthrough

Let T.O.D.D. walk you through each step verbally

1

Compatible Smart Locks

ListifyPro integrates with these five major smart lock brands through our secure connection partner:

August

Yale

Schlage

Kwikset

SmartThings

Don't have a compatible lock? Order a Smart Lock Kit directly from your property dashboard. Kits start at $199 and include everything you need.

Install Your Smart Lock

1

Install the hardware

Follow the manufacturer's instructions to replace your existing deadbolt with the smart lock. Most installations take 15-30 minutes with just a screwdriver.

2

Download the manufacturer's app

Download the official app for your lock brand (e.g., August app, Yale Access, Schlage Home) from the App Store or Google Play.

3

Pair via Bluetooth

Open the app and follow the in-app instructions to pair your lock using Bluetooth. Keep your phone within a few feet of the lock during setup.

4

Connect to Wi-Fi

Connect the lock to your home Wi-Fi network through the manufacturer's app. This enables remote access code programming — essential for ListifyPro integration.

Important: Your lock must be connected to Wi-Fi (not just Bluetooth) for ListifyPro to program access codes remotely. Verify this in your manufacturer's app before proceeding.

Connect Your Lock to ListifyPro

1

Go to your property's Smart Lock page

From your Seller Dashboard, click on your property, then navigate to the Smart Lock section.

2

Click "Connect Smart Lock"

This opens a secure authorization window powered by our integration partner.

3

Log into your lock account

In the authorization window, select your lock brand and sign in with the same credentials you used in the manufacturer's app. This grants ListifyPro permission to manage access codes.

4

Select your lock

If you have multiple locks on your account, choose the one installed at this property. The lock will show as 'Connected' on your dashboard.

Your credentials are secure. ListifyPro never sees your lock account password. Authorization is handled by a secure third-party service, similar to how "Sign in with Google" works.

Tips & Best Practices

Test your lock weekly — check battery level and Wi-Fi connection in the manufacturer's app

Keep a backup physical key with a trusted neighbor or friend in case of technical issues

Revoke access codes immediately when showings are cancelled — don't wait for auto-expiration

Secure valuables and personal items before showings, just as you would for an open house

Check your lock's battery indicator regularly — low battery can prevent code programming

If your lock goes offline, check your home Wi-Fi first — the lock needs an active connection
